It is a well-known fact that the quality and size of an antler produced by the whitetail buck can be directly traced to the quality of the animal’s diet and habitat. Our high-protein blend can help enhance the diet of the whitetail deer in your area for the development of bigger and healthier deer.

Whitcomb’s Mineral Plus
Male and female whitetail deer have the highest nutritional requirements from February until September. This is the time when bucks are growing their antlers, does are lactating, and fawns are requiring the most nutrients. Each of these activities requires a steady diet that is rich in minerals in order for proper maintenance and growth of bone and antler.

We monitor our deer in the wild with motion-censored cameras all year round. Many of these photos are taken at mineral stations that we've created by clearing debris from a moist area and pouring the mineral on the ground.

From February until September, 76% of our pictures are bucks. If you don't know what is in your area, setting up a motion-censored camera is a great way to find out.

Depending on the area, they can be just as fun as sitting in your stand! Big, dominant bucks will usually "take over" these areas, and more than likely be there during and after the rut. Dominant bucks and does will urinate at the mineral stations in order to communicate with one another.
